I believe blockchain was curated to be the technology of trust and much more dependable. We all are well aware that trust can be lost just as soon as it is gained because of our reliance on emotions, opacity and tall tales. When someone goes “trust me”, it usually engenders doubt.
Blockchain technology can change that.
Blockchains are no remedy to the trust deficit, but with the right blend of leadership, intent, and innovation we can move to decentralized structures and make the best use of this foundation technology.
I am not going to convince you why you should attend a Hackathon, as you can simply ask Google. The more appropriate question would be, why attend a blockchain hackathon, when you know very little or nada about it. Let’s brainstorm.
A virgin technology: Where is the fun in things tried and tested? You truly innovate when it is an original idea. Imagine patenting your creation! Now wouldn’t that be cool? And this can only happen if you pick up something that is still raw and something that can be given a new identity beyond what it goes by. Moreover, Blockchain is more of a foundation technology. It would be great to experiment and see what you can build from it.
Beyond cryptocurrency: Let’s break the myth. Now, events are being held across the globe to educate, apply, and discuss the impact of this disruptive technology in all different fields, sectors, and aspects of life. Fortunately, one such event will take place in Pune on October 13th. The event – #HackathonPune – is a golden opportunity to mingle with blockchain revolutionaries and enthusiasts.
Know where you stand: If you are a newbie to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies and are looking forward to enhancing your knowledge by learning about these things, then this is your event. Some of the top minds working in the future blockchain space are making an appearance. If you’re looking to learn, there’s no better place to do that than here. If you are a developer and want to become a blockchain developer, then this is a good event to attend.
Blockchain for Good: Governments have taken a keen interest in integrating blockchain technology to build trust amongst their constituencies. They are looking at incorporating the technology into defining structures of their economic, legal and political systems. Now, who wouldn’t like to work with the government in creating transparency and authenticity?
#HackathonPune is going to be a great event and I hope to see you there! Register here.
