In my previous post I had written about differences between VPS and VPC. In this post we will try to understand more about cPanel and AWS integration.
If you are in hosting industry or you are using hosting services then you might have worked on control panels such as cPanel, WHM, WebMin and Plesk. For VPS there are OpenVZ and Virtuzzo.
Out of all control panels cPanel is the most widely used too globally, thanks to its simple GUI interface, nice feature set and prompt support availability.
Lot of people who are using cPanel to manage their servers like dedicated or VPS get used to with the control panel and can’t think of any other control panel application. But when they want to move on Cloud Service they are in dilemma as they do not want use any other control panel.
There’s a Good news for all cPanel users or corporates who want to continue using cPanel to manage their applications at AWS and also to use cPanel DNS only. If you want to move to cloud then there is no better option than AWS (Amazon Web Service).
I chose to use AWS because of its rapid deployment, unlimited scaling, load balancing and global distribution abilities. Working with AWS using cPanel made me realize that how powerful it could become.
Amazon has Launched AMI (Image) with cPanel-CentOS6 for convenience as we can use it.
For more details on how to build system on AWS with cPanel, just reply on this blog and I will be happy to assist you.
