Microsoft Office Cloud Computing

Office is Microsoft's single-biggest profit driver. The revamped Office, could be the most ambitious version so far which takes the advantage of cloud computing and is designed for use with the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. Cloud computing is used to store documents and settings on the Internet by default, and is compatible with touch screens widely used in tablets. The company last updated Office in 2010, when it incorporated online versions for the first time. The probability of full version of Office 15 is expected to be available in early 2013. The latest version of Office comes as Apple, Inc. and Google, Inc. make inroads into the workplace, long Microsoft's stronghold.

Mobile subscriptions has grown from fewer than 1 billion in 2000 to over 6 billion now, that includes both pre-paid and post-paid of which nearly 5 billion are in developing countries says the World Bank. Last year alone, mobile users worldwide downloaded more than 30 billion apps. Simultaneously with the emerging ‘app economy’ in agriculture, healthcare, financial services and government is changing approaches to entrepreneurship and employment in the developing world.
