Going by the recent Gartner report, close to 50 percent enterprises will be opting for hybrid cloud deployments by end of 2017, and in the last three years, nearly half of enterprises aspiring for private cloud have made it their tentative reality. Today, hybrid cloud is at the same place of acceptance that private cloud was about three years ago.

Finding the right cloud platform for setting your infrastructure and migrating, choosing from a wide deployment models like AWS, Azure and Openstack has been is concerning many enterprises today. Considering the factors of agility, security, policies, compliances, industry specific standards and regulations choosing the right deployment model identifying the pros and cons of each is an important criteria while building your environment.

Although cost is not always the primary cause for enterprises to choose private cloud, there are other important business cases - such as virtualization and automation that reduce capital and operational expenses. While the number of midsize and large enterprises building and deploying private cloud services is on the rise, technology that provides room for expansion, functionality and interoperability in the future that is provided by hybrid cloud is also gaining popularity.

As per analysts at Technology Business Review,"Hybrid is quickly becoming a focal point of Amazon Web Services(AWS) strategy as the business moves into the enterprise market. With tools such as Amazon VPC, AWS Direct Connect and AWS Data Pipeline, customers are able to more easily extend on-premises IT through AWS".

The overall driving factor for enterprises to aspire and choose private and hybrid cloud for deployments is primarily agility. To attain this state of agility, it’s crucial to choose a technology partner who understands the high points of agility and provide the same in your current and future services. It is observed that enterprises having agility and operational processes designed for speed have successful cloud adoptions.

The good alternate for any enterprise is to choose a combination of private and hybrid cloud that offers a faster return on investments. In cloud adoption, the winners and losers will be purely decided by their cloud management platform and their deployment model.
