The SEZ inauguration function of e-Zest, gave me an opportunity to share some valuable moments with our esteemed client Marco Spoel, Manager Maintenance & Support at Essent. We interchanged wonderful experiences and anecdotes over a late and enjoyable diner after arriving in Pune. The day of the inauguration was filled with some great insights, coupled with learning and fun in his company, as he readied us all for the big actions.

“Of all my experiences with different companies so far, I must say that team e-Zest is number one when it comes to team spirit, commitment, professionalism and technological expertise for Amazon Cloud services. Before e-Zest, Essent has partnered with a Dutch Internet company for building Essent’s Cloud presence. However, since both, the Dutch company and Essent were not able to get the requirements right, it did not turn out to be a success. This changed, when Essent decided to insource with e-Zest as being a part of the team and within no time we were back on track. Because of this, Essent shares a wonderful relationship with e-Zest and I’m proud of this association”, remarked Marco about his experience of working with team e-Zest at Essent.

Not stopping at this appreciation, he went a step ahead and as the most thoughtful gesture, he handed over his best kept treasure to us-his personal trophy which he had won in 2010 for best practices and 120% commitment and team performance building the current household systems, saying that he would ask for it back in 2016, only to give us a new one which he said he was confident of winning with the team efforts of e-Zest. “The trophy will be for e-zest from Essent in 2016 for realizing the new (non- commodity) systems that allow business agility in Cloud,” he quipped.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of team e-Zest to extend my heartfelt gratitude towards Marco, as it was indeed very kind and gracious of him to postpone his scheduled meeting with his client for the sake of the inauguration, as he wished to give more time for the event and the function.

I instantly connected with Marco; in fact it was so from the moment we got back into our car and chatted on our way back to the hotel. India and Indian food was the highlight of our chat, as he expressed his love and fondness for Indian cuisine and impishly confessed that he himself doesn’t leave a chance to cook Indian food back home in Netherlands. Full of energy and with an almost infectious enthusiasm, he continued chatting and our chat went on till almost 2 am in the night. The next day as decided, he was religiously present in the lobby at 8 am sharp, as he texted me about his marvelous stay at the hotel.

Back home we would like to thank Marco for inspiring the TAM team, as the amount of excitement in them was apparent after hearing his kind words of appreciation. It was indeed a very humbling and a memorable experience sharing insights with him over dinner.

All in all, a great day at SEZ’s office inauguration and e-Zest family enjoyed every minute spent with Marco. We are all excited to continue work with Essent!
