Colours dazzled as the lights and shadows played hide and seek in between earth-shaking performances. e-Zest’s much awaited cultural extravaganza- ‘Philia 2014’rang in innumerable moments of joy and excitement, marked with resplendent talent on September 13 at Hyatt Regency this year! The euphoria was evident right from the huge number of audience present and expectedly it didn’t let anyone down for even a single moment. Rhythms soared, feet tapped as there was unlimited talent flowing one after the other.
Philia, keeping up with its tradition of bringing together the entire staff of e-Zest along with their families, gave a fantastic platform to all the hidden talent of e-Zestians. The event saw some of the most melodious and pitch perfect singers, sing beautiful renditions flawlessly. Right from classical to rock music, all the singers and guitarists delivered outstanding performances that set the mood of the evening in just the perfect manner. The movers and shakers were not left behind either, as the dancers grooved and displayed grace and unparalleled levels of energy that almost brought the house down. Philia’s fashion show this year was almost like a thorough pack of professional models catwalking on the ramp in their variety of costumes with much élan, grace and a zestful attitude. The dramebaaz of e-Zest then filled the air with humor, satire, comedy and laughter with creatively crafted skits that left everyone in splits!
As the evening proceeded with the infectious energy levels amid thunderous applause and whistles, an impromptu children’s fashion show stole many hearts. By the time the event had reached its finishing stages, it had managed to fill each one with an adrenaline boost thanks to the performances on display. A delectable spread of scrumptious cuisine then awaited everyone as it was time to bid adieu to yet another phenomenal cultural extravaganza; one that has now etched a sweet lingering memory in each e-Zestian.
