In what marked a tremendous start to the new year, e-Zest celebrated its annual foundation day fest Philia in grand style at our Hinjewadi premises. The pre-event saw team members squaring off against one another with Chess and Table Tennis. The event started off with our traditional Ganesh Vandana, an ode for our God who is the remover of all obstacles. Our CEO Devendra Deshmukh then shared the landmark highlights of the last year along with his vision for the future. The logo was also officially launched among much aplomb from the audience.
The fun and festivities then began with the team of e-Zest rockstars strumming the guitar and singing some popular tunes. The talent index was taken a notch ahead by three plays performed by our young team of Thespians. The stage was then set on fire by our talented dance team who performed on the choicest Bollywood numbers.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Mr Jaywant Utpat, a world renowned electronic musician and disciple of the legendary Table maestro Ustad Allah Rakha. Jaywant is the brain behind JAYSONIC, which is a first of its kind electronic percussion instrument and is a by-product of Jaywant’s very own percussion software and Roland’s Handsonic. He explained the ideas behind the instrument and his musical journey. He then played the instrument and took us through a journey of musical bliss.
Devendra Deshmukh said, “We are extremely delighted to have a grand Philia this year. A heartfelt thank you to Jaywant who took us to a different world with his music. I also wish congratulations to all the participants of the event. The year is big for us due to our re-branding initiative. Philia just sets the right tone for the year ahead.”
In the final part of the event, awards were given out to the best performers of the year and the winners of the sports competitions. e-Zestians across teams were felicitated for their sublime efforts throughout the last year. The evening was concluded to some dance, food and cheer.
