Children’s day is a special day. Making this day more memorable was the way e-Zest decided to celebrate it this year. Part of e-Zest’s ongoing CSR initiative, many team members went out and spent quality time with special children at a special school for these children located in the Warje area of Pune, India.
It was a special moment for all e-Zestians who were part of the initiative. After a lovely introduction session in the class, the children danced to the tunes of popular Bollywood numbers along with e-Zest team members. Sweets were then distributed to these sweet children. Post that, team members played a number of games - Basketball, Football, Badminton and others - with these children. Moist eyes and innocent grins only added to the warm atmosphere at the event.
e-Zest also donated a list of necessary items needed by the school. The list was provided by the school. Bed sheets, buckets, roti maker, basketball, and others were given to them through money collected from our earlier activities such as Jumme ki Biryani and Tambola along with a generous contribution by the organization.
This Children’s Day has left an indelible impression on the minds of e-Zestians. While leaving, they also made these gifted children a little promise - “We will be back soon!”
